Hmm...

...Ya know what? Screw this. This blog is simply not working. I have nothing to say. What I do have to say, I'd rather not share, nor do I particularly feel like typing it out when no one will read it anyway. So, this will probably be my last post. Buh-bye now.

Time passes like a football player on steroids.

Time, my oldest friend...
I think you age faster than I do
You slyly slip by, you're three
when I'm still two.
Your years get ahead of me,
minutes sneak past
into infinite nothingness,
but the memory of what has been.
Another moment, vanished into the abyss
of time already gone
which can never be recovered...
but another moment never fails to come,
replacing it's predecessor...
And it is gone before I've realized it's there.
Time, my greatest enemy...
I long for days that are lost,
moments I can never visit.
You dangle these over my head,
in the form of memories,
nothing more than records of of old times
never to be forgotten, never relived.
Time, you trick me, slipping a year out from under my feet,
your soft tongue teasing,
as, once again, I find myself wondering how another year passed.

Kay, I know this sucks. This is the first draft, I just typed it in here exactly how it is, just cause I wanted to write something......what can I say, practice makes perfect...x] And I don't know if I should keep this title or not. Hmm...

Awakening. (a poem, written by me. Yay.)

Spinning in the calmest waters
I create a cyclone sea
But no damage, I'm alone
Just the darkness, the water and me.
Faster than assumptions rush,
accusations fly and lurk,
I will scatter, flecks of dust
blown by wind into the murk.
Smoother than a serpent shadow,
soft as wind blows light and lonely,
Doubt will creep into my mind,
with words that whisper "If only, if only..."

Stumble, heavy steps up the hill
I tumble, head over mind over will
And the rumble of thunder, of wonderous blunder
when my mind is under the darkening clouds,
will serve to remind me of how you can blind me
while quietly lying I get turned around.

Sinking into solemn slumber
Farther than a hope can leap,
I awaken wishing wonders
Hidden deeper than dreamers sleep.
Screaming loud as the sobbing sky,
Tears as wet as deserts come,
Someone hear my silent cry
and read me like the rising sun.
Shimmer sadly through the dark
Shining surface smooth as snakes
Shattered, and the glass is sharp
when I ascend...I am awake.

GET WITH THE PROGRAM, GRACE. Gosh....

Sooo. Haven't posted on here since November...>.< Sorry about that. Not that anyone actually cares. The thing about blogging is, it's not all that interesting. I had no time to blog over most of the school year, and no reason either. The only reason I am doing so now, is that I am rather bored. Anyway...

I read all of my previous blog entries just now, and to my chagrin, I found myself getting annoyed at my own entries. I was sorely tempted to delete all of my old posts and start over. I am such a SPAZZ!!! ...that's not even what annoys me though. My posts are all just utterly DULL and BORING. Seriously. I listed my freaking SCHEDULE. Did I think ANYONE was going to want to read that?????? Even now, I'm not writing anything interesting at all...just kind of rambling. I am just a boring person, I guess. From now on though, I'm gonna try and write only about more interesting things....like, my opinions on current events or issues, maybe some stuff I write, if it's any good, perhaps if anything interesting is happening in my life for once, I will write about that. And I might occasionally go on rants about people or events that no one reading this blog will know or care about....because it is far more satisfying to rant if you can post it online and know there's at least SOME chance of someone reading it.
Hmm. Anything else?
I think not. Another post will most likely be coming soon.
Toodles.

I imagine my loyal, avid readers would kill me if I had any loyal, avid readers.

I really need more followers..

So Halloween was last Saturday, and it was incredibly fun, but now I'm sad because I have to wait another whole year for it to come again. I went trick-or-treating on Friday, because for some reason that's how they do it in my town. This was probably the first year I've actually been glad that they do this, because usually it rains when we trick-or-treat, and never on the real Halloween. This year it was the opposite. TAKE THAT, ALL YOU SCURVY CALENDAR-ABIDING DOGS!!!!!

*ahem* Anyway, I went trick-or-treating with my friend Bronwyn, and I was a Crazy Cat Lady. It was awesome. Although most people didn't really get what I was, they just thought I was an old lady, or a Grandma or something. HELLOO??? CAN'T YOU PEOPLE SEE THE STUFFED CAT?!? And CLEARLY I'm a little off!!!!! (I actually was. I was wearing cheap dollar store prescription glasses, and since I don't actually need glasses, they made everything look blurry and and I couldn't see where I was going that well.....) Jeez...

Then on Saturday (the actual Halloween), I went with my mom and little brother to hear scary stories, and then the whole family watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I think there should be a Halloween Appreciation Day, and people would do all their Halloween activities all over again in honor of Halloween. Isn't that a brilliant idea? I think so.

On another note, I really need a huge planner that has room to write all my homework in it, and all the events and stuff. Because I have a bit of a problem with remembering stuff. Which is why I didn't go to either T.A.B. Halloween party or the meeting that was today. The only problem with a planner is that I would probably lose it, or forget to bring it to school, or I would leave it somewhere because I didn't feel like carrying it around, and then I wouldn't have it with me when I needed to write something down. Then I'd tell myself I would write it later, but I'd forget to write it later, and therefore forget all about the event until it's a couple hours or days after and I think "Now, when was that thing I said I'd go to??................crap." *sigh* I'm hopeless...

If you want to hear some of my music, go HERE. I wrote everything there except the track called "Lucky 13". Other credits are on the page. Keep in mind though, this is all pretty old stuff, my newer stuff is much better, but I don't have it recorded yet. I might try to work on getting them recorded, but don't expect anything too soon, I probably won't get around to it for a while.

In other news, I had a test today, I have 3 (3!!!!) tests tomorrow, and YET ANOTHER TEST on Thursday. I think there should be a law against excessive testing. Anyone care to second this motion??

Wow look how long this posty is!! You know you wanna read it...

OK, I'm not going to go over EVERY SINGLE DAY of school since the 1st, cuz that'd take waaaaaaaaaaay too long. What I will do is post my schedule for day 2.

1. US History 1-which isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I actually kind of like it..

2. Geometry-I like this one too, more than history.

3. Biology-I also like this class a lot...gosh I'm such a nerd..lol

4. Lunch-least favorite period...of day 2 at least

5. Guitar/Pop Ensemble-2nd favorite class in both days combined

6. Percussion Technique-the BEST.

7. Music Theory-actually it might be Musicianship, I forget. On day 1 & 2, I have basically the same class in 7th period, but one's called Music Theory and one's called Musicianship. Weird. This is my least favorite of my music classes.

And day 1:

1. Spanish 1

2. English 10 CP

3. Concert Band

4. Lunch

5. Orchestra

6. Jazz Music History

7. Music Theory/Musicianship

And now to rant. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my new school. Most things about it I really like. But there are just a few things I need to rant about. First of all...

SPANISH CLASS. I HATE my Spanish class. The Spanish teacher is perfectly nice, and I have nothing really against her, it's just that she seems to barely know english. It's hard to understand what she's saying, because she usually speaks in some strange mix of Spanish and English, plus she has a really heavy accent. I have to rely on what the other students are doing to know what to do. And today, she was quizzing us about phrases she never actually taught us. Unless she covered them all in the first 2 classes (which I missed) and then just never mentioned them again until now...it also helps that the classroom somehow seems more flourescent-lit than the rest of the building...all the classrooms are have flourescent lights, but only the Spanish ones have that dim quality to them. That kind of dim flickering flourescent light makes me slightly depressed...which brings me to my 2nd complaint.

There are no windows. The school is part of one huge brick building that takes up most of the block it's on, so it's not possible to have windows. = [ ...it's not a big deal, I just miss being able to see outside anytime I wanted...I'm a bit spoiled in that way..ha ha.

I have nothing else to rant about. =D So on to other matters....

So yesterday I went hiking with my mom and brother....there were a ton of AMAZING photo oppurtunities....but we didn't have a camera. My family (me included) ALWAYS forget to bring a camera. SOMETIMES my dad brings one. Sometimes. But anyway, the trail kept going up and getting higher and higher...like, REALLY HIGH...and there was this one part that had an absence of trees so there was a really nice view of the trees in the distance and the creek below, and there was this part of a stump on it's side with the roots sticking up in the air. The roots were really nice, not caked with dirt, so just imagine.....If I had camera with me I would have taken a shot through the roots at the amazing scenery. It was perfect. (By the way, I'm not really much of a photographer at all....I just reeeaaalllyy would have liked that shot.)

If you like to draw, as I do, check out this website: http://www.iscribble.net/ It's awesome.

I saw Ponyo last week...it was GREAT, as all Hayao Miyazaki movies are. My Neighbor Totoro is still the best, though. Ponyo isn't as good as Spirited Away, but almost.

I'm going to watch Elizabethtown tonight, never seen it before. I kind of have a feeling that it will be a bad movie...but, being me, I'll probably like it anyway. I would make such a bad movie critic, 'cause I like almost every movie I see. I couldn't recognize a bad movie if it looked me square in the eye and growled "I am your worst nightmare...". Whenever I see a really bad movie, and afterwards people are like "Wow, that movie SUCKED..." I'm like, "What? It did? What was wrong with it? I liked it!!". And this is a pity, because Movie Critic would be a really cool job to have.

I forget if I actually told you what my major at my school is....in case I didn't, it's Drums/Percussion. I also auditioned for Visual Art, but on the day of auditions, they made me choose which major I'd prefer, and I chose Instrumental rather than Art. I don't know if I would have gotten into Art or not.

Well that's all for now. I wrote most of a new song, but I don't feel like posting it. Maybe some other time. Toodles!!!

Schoooollzz....

Wow. I simply cannot believe I have not filled you in on what's happening with school. Well, I am now.

The Thursday before last was the first day. Aside from being utterly CONFUZZLING, it was great. First there was homeroom, which was easy enough to find, but then my next class was Spanish, so I found the Spanish room, and there was a homeroom in there, but I thought it was my Spanish class so I went in and sat down, but after a few minutes every one left and I thought I was supposed to as well. So I went to my next class which was English, and it seemed to be the right class 'cause the teacher was the one who assigned the summer reading/essay thing. So I stayed for that whole class while I was supposed to be in Spanish, which was a GREAT start to my day *sarcasm* (But hey, I got to miss Spanish class....:P) After that I got confused and asked some random adult standing in the hall where I was supposed to be and they said I should be in English. Seeing as I had just come from English, I was like, whaaaaaaaaaaatt??? So I had two English classes.

After that, there was Concert Band, then lunch, then Orchestra...and now there's MORE confusion. This one wasn't my fault though. My schedule said Percussion Technique was next, in room 142, so I went to 142, and IT WASN'T PERCUSSION TECHNIQUE. So I asked ANOTHER random adult standing in the hall what the heck was going on. They told me to go to Jazz Music History, which my schedule said was the same time TOMORROW. Stupid faulty schedule. I should also mention that Jazz Music History is in room 128, which is hard to find because for some reason, 127 and 129 are right next to each other and 128 is somewhere else entirely. Go figure. There was also a bit of confusion about the fact that my schedule said I had Instrumental Music in 8th period.....and guess what?? 8TH PERIOD DOESN'T EXIST. 7th period is the last period in the day. *sigh*

The second day was a LOT better. More later, my dad's making me get off the computer...=[

Well kick me down the stairs and call me a monkey, It's the day before school!

Hmmm, don't really know where that title came from, but HOLY CANNOLI, IT'S THE DAY BEFORE SCHOOL!!!!!! JUMPING JELLYFISH!!! Praise the pencils, for they are the one and only unquestioned Lord of the Universe!!!!!!! OK, that was weird.....It's just that I happened to be looking at a pack of Ticonderoga pencils at the moment that I was deciding what to say next. And Ticonderoga pencils are pretty awesome. Although there is the fact that if there were more than one pencil, they would be Lords of the Universe, not one Lord of the Universe. But ANYWAY, shhhhhcooooll shtartsh tomorrow, and I am FREAKING. OUT. *hyperventilates* I shtill have to finish my eshay, whhich I SHHHOULD be working on RIGHT NOW, but AAAAHH!!! I HATE WRITIN' FLIPPIN' ESHAYSH!!!! OK, enough with the extra H's. But sher - I mean, SERIOUSLY, I am HORRIBLE at writing essays. I can't think of how to phrase what I want to say, and I get distracted really easily. As you can probably guess. On to other school matters...

It's ridiculous how excited I am that I get my own locker. Since 4th grade was my last year in public school, I've never had one before. YAY LOCKERS!!! Also, you're supposed to have "several" 1 and a half or 2 inch binders. I can't fit that many in my bag!!!!!!! 2 is pushing it...Supposedly I only need them for Music Theory and other music classes though, so I doubt I'll actually need any more than 2. I already know two people who go to my school, but one of them is a year younger, and both are different majors, so I probably won't see them much anyway.

I got a haircut today!! It's a little shorter than I had in mind, but it's OK, and it'll grow out soon. YAY HAIRCUTS!!!!!!! As you can probably tell, I'm a little hyper right now. I'm not sure if I'll be able to fall asleep atall tonight. I can just picture it: First day of school, everyone's loud, excited, and well-rested...except me, with bags and dark circles under my eyes, and a super-caffeinated expression. Just call me Zombie Girl.....way to make a first impression. 0_0 *sigh*

So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in

Unfortunately, those awesome lyrics are not mine...I just thought I'd put them up here cuz I like them ^_^ TICONDEROGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rehearsal today

So the other person in the band (I shall call her Vi from now on , since she doesn't want her real name posted) came over today and we had rehearsal...finished a new song called Wishful Thinking. Actually it's not that new, I wrote it a couple months ago, but we finished the completed version today, with Vi playing keyboard and me playing Guitar and singing. This is a bit strange for one of our songs, because a) Usually Vi plays keyboard and sings, and I play drums. But seeing as she can't play guitar, I need to play guitar, therefore I can't play drums. b) because Nowhere in the song do I sing the words "Wishful thinking". Usually I name my songs based on lyrics.

I played Vi all my new stuff (1 finished song, 1 almost finished song, and 2 little parts of songs), she liked them. Also, I learned to play The Boxer on guitar, I played that too. Vi played 2 new songs of hers, which were awesome. Upon request (by me), she also played this other song of hers which I don't know the name of, but I had heard before. I swear, it's THE COOLEST song she's ever written, which is saying a LOT.

My dad and brother are going to an archery range today, I'm going to come with, just cause I'm SO BORED. I haven't even left the house since Tuesday. I CAN'T STAND not going anywhere. Thankfully

SCHOOL STARTS IN 6 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
