Wow look how long this posty is!! You know you wanna read it...

OK, I'm not going to go over EVERY SINGLE DAY of school since the 1st, cuz that'd take waaaaaaaaaaay too long. What I will do is post my schedule for day 2.

1. US History 1-which isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I actually kind of like it..

2. Geometry-I like this one too, more than history.

3. Biology-I also like this class a lot...gosh I'm such a nerd..lol

4. Lunch-least favorite period...of day 2 at least

5. Guitar/Pop Ensemble-2nd favorite class in both days combined

6. Percussion Technique-the BEST.

7. Music Theory-actually it might be Musicianship, I forget. On day 1 & 2, I have basically the same class in 7th period, but one's called Music Theory and one's called Musicianship. Weird. This is my least favorite of my music classes.

And day 1:

1. Spanish 1

2. English 10 CP

3. Concert Band

4. Lunch

5. Orchestra

6. Jazz Music History

7. Music Theory/Musicianship

And now to rant. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my new school. Most things about it I really like. But there are just a few things I need to rant about. First of all...

SPANISH CLASS. I HATE my Spanish class. The Spanish teacher is perfectly nice, and I have nothing really against her, it's just that she seems to barely know english. It's hard to understand what she's saying, because she usually speaks in some strange mix of Spanish and English, plus she has a really heavy accent. I have to rely on what the other students are doing to know what to do. And today, she was quizzing us about phrases she never actually taught us. Unless she covered them all in the first 2 classes (which I missed) and then just never mentioned them again until now...it also helps that the classroom somehow seems more flourescent-lit than the rest of the building...all the classrooms are have flourescent lights, but only the Spanish ones have that dim quality to them. That kind of dim flickering flourescent light makes me slightly depressed...which brings me to my 2nd complaint.

There are no windows. The school is part of one huge brick building that takes up most of the block it's on, so it's not possible to have windows. = [ ...it's not a big deal, I just miss being able to see outside anytime I wanted...I'm a bit spoiled in that way..ha ha.

I have nothing else to rant about. =D So on to other matters....

So yesterday I went hiking with my mom and brother....there were a ton of AMAZING photo oppurtunities....but we didn't have a camera. My family (me included) ALWAYS forget to bring a camera. SOMETIMES my dad brings one. Sometimes. But anyway, the trail kept going up and getting higher and higher...like, REALLY HIGH...and there was this one part that had an absence of trees so there was a really nice view of the trees in the distance and the creek below, and there was this part of a stump on it's side with the roots sticking up in the air. The roots were really nice, not caked with dirt, so just imagine.....If I had camera with me I would have taken a shot through the roots at the amazing scenery. It was perfect. (By the way, I'm not really much of a photographer at all....I just reeeaaalllyy would have liked that shot.)

If you like to draw, as I do, check out this website: http://www.iscribble.net/ It's awesome.

I saw Ponyo last week...it was GREAT, as all Hayao Miyazaki movies are. My Neighbor Totoro is still the best, though. Ponyo isn't as good as Spirited Away, but almost.

I'm going to watch Elizabethtown tonight, never seen it before. I kind of have a feeling that it will be a bad movie...but, being me, I'll probably like it anyway. I would make such a bad movie critic, 'cause I like almost every movie I see. I couldn't recognize a bad movie if it looked me square in the eye and growled "I am your worst nightmare...". Whenever I see a really bad movie, and afterwards people are like "Wow, that movie SUCKED..." I'm like, "What? It did? What was wrong with it? I liked it!!". And this is a pity, because Movie Critic would be a really cool job to have.

I forget if I actually told you what my major at my school is....in case I didn't, it's Drums/Percussion. I also auditioned for Visual Art, but on the day of auditions, they made me choose which major I'd prefer, and I chose Instrumental rather than Art. I don't know if I would have gotten into Art or not.

Well that's all for now. I wrote most of a new song, but I don't feel like posting it. Maybe some other time. Toodles!!!

Schoooollzz....

Wow. I simply cannot believe I have not filled you in on what's happening with school. Well, I am now.

The Thursday before last was the first day. Aside from being utterly CONFUZZLING, it was great. First there was homeroom, which was easy enough to find, but then my next class was Spanish, so I found the Spanish room, and there was a homeroom in there, but I thought it was my Spanish class so I went in and sat down, but after a few minutes every one left and I thought I was supposed to as well. So I went to my next class which was English, and it seemed to be the right class 'cause the teacher was the one who assigned the summer reading/essay thing. So I stayed for that whole class while I was supposed to be in Spanish, which was a GREAT start to my day *sarcasm* (But hey, I got to miss Spanish class....:P) After that I got confused and asked some random adult standing in the hall where I was supposed to be and they said I should be in English. Seeing as I had just come from English, I was like, whaaaaaaaaaaatt??? So I had two English classes.

After that, there was Concert Band, then lunch, then Orchestra...and now there's MORE confusion. This one wasn't my fault though. My schedule said Percussion Technique was next, in room 142, so I went to 142, and IT WASN'T PERCUSSION TECHNIQUE. So I asked ANOTHER random adult standing in the hall what the heck was going on. They told me to go to Jazz Music History, which my schedule said was the same time TOMORROW. Stupid faulty schedule. I should also mention that Jazz Music History is in room 128, which is hard to find because for some reason, 127 and 129 are right next to each other and 128 is somewhere else entirely. Go figure. There was also a bit of confusion about the fact that my schedule said I had Instrumental Music in 8th period.....and guess what?? 8TH PERIOD DOESN'T EXIST. 7th period is the last period in the day. *sigh*

The second day was a LOT better. More later, my dad's making me get off the computer...=[
